Hope of salvation and kingdom

God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord are the hope of all believers. Christ Jesus our Lord puts those whom He counts faithful into the ministry, and He enables them. He does this in spite of their former lives, regardless of their past as blasphemers, as persecutor of the church, and as insolent. Those who serve in ministry have obtained mercy for what they have previously done ignorantly in unbelief. Our Lord grants His ministers exceedingly abundant grace, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus who came into the world to save sinners, as evident in the ministers of the gospel. Ministers have obtained mercy, by which Jesus Christ might, as an example to those who will trust Him for eternal life, show all longsuffering first in the ministers. Grace, mercy, and peace is granted by God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord to every minister of the faith, and to all who will believe through them. This is to the never ending glory and honor of God, who is the invisible, immortal, and eternal King. (1 Timothy 1:1-2; 1:12-17)
